We look forward to welcoming you to the 41st seminar in the Greek Dialogues series, our platform dedicated to exploring the rich tapestry of Greek literature, history, and culture. We are delighted that Professor Johanna Hanink (Brown University,) a distinguished scholar in classical studies and modern Greek literature is to be our guest speaker.
Professor Hanink will guide us through an in-depth exploration of The Archeologist by Andreas Karkavitsas, a masterpiece of modern Greek prose. First published in 1904, this novella grapples with themes of ambition, tradition, and the ethical dilemmas of uncovering the past. Join us as we delve into Karkavitsas’ evocative narrative and its enduring significance in the study of Greek literary heritage.
