Please note: this workshop will be delivered in Greek

On the 100th anniversary of the 1922 war in Asia Minor, which changed radically the linguistic landscape of both Greece and Turkey, the Academy of Athens (Research Centre for Modern Greek Dialects - Historical Dictionary) and the Cambridge Centre for Greek Studies are organizing a one-day workshop presenting recent research on Greek as spoken in Asia Minor.

Talks will feature both major and emerging research projects on the dialects of Cappadocia (Historical Dictionary and Atlas of the Cappadocian Dialects), the Black Sea (Romeyka project) and Smyrna (Cambridge Centre for Greek Studies), as well as a keynote lecture by Professor Paschalis Kitromilidis, member of the Academy of Athens, on the Greek language of Asia Minor.

See Workshop Programme (in Greek) for full details of the day, available in English here.
